From the first treatment to a visible difference in crabgrass and weed control

These customers had every intention of handling their own lawn care, but between work and the summer their treatments slipped. The lawn went untreated through a good chunk of the season, and crabgrass and broadleaf weeds took hold.

We came in during September, October and November to catch the lawn up on its applications. Within a week of the first treatment there was a noticeable difference in the crabgrass and weed control.

Our standard programme runs six applications, starting in early spring and spaced about a month apart through to the fall. The first is a pre-emergent crabgrass control paired with a balanced granular fertilizer, which stops the seed germinating rather than fighting the plant later. Because of the sheer amount of seed crabgrass produces it usually takes a couple of seasons to clear completely, with the first year controlling it well and the second catching what is left.

A small sign goes in the lawn after every visit so the owner knows exactly what was applied and when. Josh Kaminski handled the correspondence, and the customer signed up for the full programme the following year.

“LKM came in September, October and November to catch us up on some lawn applications and within a week of the first treatment, we could see a noticeable difference in the crabgrass and weed control.”
